Hi all, on the topic of MultiChain, we have withdrawn all of the liquidity with the exception of $4,900 worth of MELD tokens in the multichain Avalanche pool. We are in the process of removing the last of it now. At the first sign of this issue yesterday morning, we withdrew all of the liquidity back to the native blockchains Ethereum and MELD) as a precautionary measure. We are currently monitoring and speaking with MultiChain daily to better understand the situation. As we all know bridges hold a bigger risk than other blockchain infrastructure. While we are very cautious about bridging, we believe that cross chain will be one of the major components of the next phase of crypto and a big part of the next bull market. We want to take this time to get it right and make sure it’s done in a predictable and safe manner.

For those having an error when attempting to migrate your meld tokens on the Meld Dapp, I have a solution. The solution is to make a UTXO that contains 5 ADA and send it to the address. This can be done using a wallet other than the meld wallet, or you can also send 5 ADA to yourself within the Meld Wallet as well. The problem is caused by the need to interact with a smart contract on Cardano. All Spends and Mints from a smart contract require a UTXO with some ADA (5 ADA) to be available as a collateral UTXO in case on chain validation fails after the transaction is submitted (this can happen if the UTXO was consumed, but a node operator still had to spend computational resources). This UTXO must be separate from the UTXO that you are consuming your meld tokens from. Problem flow: User sends 15 ADA and 1k MELD from their personal wallet to their meld wallet to their Meld wallet. Even though the user has 15 ADA, that 15 ADA is in one UTXO with the 1k Meld tokens. Because there is not a separate UTXO for collateral, the transaction is failing to create. Once you send 5 ADA to your Meld wallet address, this should be resolved, since now there is a separate UTXO to act as collateral.

GUYS Be careful everyone, there's a new voice note scam / hack going around. Users are sent what looks like a voice note on telegram, and once downloaded your telegram shuts down gets hacked. This might compromise phone data and your passwords. If you get any voice notes from unknown users, DELETE AND BLOCK

Fixes on the horizon: In the past period many things happened, some great some less so. But never fear fixes are on the way! 3 points to address: 1. We have been dealing with some backend sync issues and that affected a lot of people when they went to app.meld.com to make transactions and/or to migrate their tokens (this is the reason we didn't announce the link yet as we mentioned in the FAQ page). We are implementing a fix for all of these and it should be ready on 18 May. This should fix problems such as: - Nami keeps loading forever - I went on vacation left Eternl to load got back and it still didn't load - I sent tokens to the MELD wallet and I can't see them in it 2. When creating a wallet with the Google sign-up method many users would be stuck in an endless loop in which they couldn't make a wallet but the system said they already made one and it should be recovered. We will deploy a fix for these cases and it should be ready on 18 May. This will fix the endless loop problem. For people that can't use the google account they wanted to originally after the fix is deployed, please contact us and we will try to find a way to resolve it. 3. As we said many times, the Google log-in will not be the only way to use the app. We are planning to have the traditional 24 word phrase generation and recovery on 1st June. This will fix problems such as: - I don't want Google touching anything of mine. P.S. the Google log-in option does NOT mean that Google holds your keys, far from it.
