🏦🏦 MELD Node operators will get a 6% APY on MELD tokens staked in their node.🏦🏦 👉 For the first 6 months we will allow up to 30 node operators. (We reserve the right to increase this if we need to). 👉 For the last 6 months we will increase up to 60 node operators. (We reserve the right to increase this if we need to). 👉 This mean for the first 30 node operators, you can stake for a total of 12 months. 👉 The minimum $MELD you can stake is 100,000. 👉 The maximum $MELD you can stake is 20,000,000. 👉 You have to send us the $MELD you are planning on staking. It will be kept in a public wallet. 👉 You can stake in $MELD on any blockchain. 👉 A MELD node is also an Avalanche main net node, which will require a minimum of 2000 $AVAX staked to operate. You will need to provide this. 👉 Your yield will be paid out once per month. You can choose to leave it and allow the $MELD to compound (up to 20m) or it can be sent to a wallet of your choice. 👉 People are chosen to run a MELD node, it is not open (yet). 👉 You can stop running a node at anytime as long as you tell us you are shutting it down. 👉 You will need to sign an agreement agreeing to these points.

Thanks for the list, I’ve tried to answer them below. We have done so much for cardano. We spent $1m last year for development of the Cardano core blockchain to get to level where we can deploy our protocol on it. We have been working closely with IOG and CP from the earliest days. Lending and borrowing on Cardano is very difficult due to the UTXO model, speed of Cardanos TPS and the fact that most interactions happen off chain in a batcher (just like all other projects). A agree, doing the bridge first was a very bad idea. Our previous CTO felt this was more important than lending & borrowing. Our goal is to launch a profitable lending and borrowing protocol coving crypt and fiat. You goal is NOT to be a cardano cheerleader at the expense of our success. We are in testnet with Cardano landing and borrowing, After summer with EVM lending & borrowing. Unless you think the bull market will happen in September (it won’t) then we will be ready. EMI is happening, we have staff, we have purchased and are customising the banking stack, the mobile app is under development. We have connectivity to the backend for fiat already. There is nothing anyone can say to stop people from calling this a rug, even after we launch the wallet and bank, people will call it a rug. This is just the nature of trolls in crypto. If are going to pull a rug, you don’t do any of things we are doing like invest in 3rd party software, hire banking staff, engage visa for a debit card. These are not things you do if you plan on running away. In the end we will always have detractors, we have since the day we were announced. It will not change regardless of the success we have. Most of these concerns are completely unfounded and more FUD and noise than anything. If you want to worry about something, worry than the US will ban crypto on and off ramps, worry that the EU is trying to bank non-custodial wallet use. Worry that the USD is loosing its position as a receiver currency with no clear replacement. But worrying that MELD is not Cardano maxi enough is a waste of words.

‼️‼️Announcement ‼️‼️ Today we had planned to release the MELD testnet to the first 500 early beta testers. Due to several frontend GUI bugs and issues we are delaying the release by three more days in order to give the engineers a little more time to address the more egregious of the bugs. The new date for release is the 19th. The current status is that the backend and smart contracts are complete and working correctly. But the frontend is not quiet there. The reason for this is due to our lead frontend engineer having surgery a month ago and then while recovering catching the flu and has been out of work since. We brought in a temporary replacement but he has not been able to work at the same pace. As of Thursday last week we were on track, but over the weekend several issues were not resolved meaning we will push it a few days in order give the team time to fix them. They are not major issues in the protocol, but they are major issues in the frontend GUI. Over the course of the next few hours we will be releasing wallet addresses and Tx showing the protocol is working, we have supplying and borrowing and it’s working as expected. You will be able to dig around and see these activities on the blockchain. While it sucks that we needed to delay this, it’s only a two day delay, issues like illness cannot not be accounted for always.

We’re excited to announce that the white list for the #MELD testnet is now complete! 📃🥳️ We had an overwhelming response with close to 4k people wanting to participate. 👨‍💻 Those who have been selected will receive an email with more information in the coming days. 📥
